Yes: Mochi Zen is now a full hypnosis app in Spanish. As of October 2026, all 40 RTT-based hypnotherapy sessions for weight loss, anxiety, insomnia, and burnout are available in Spanish, along with the app itself, and mochi-zen.com en español.
Para mí, esto es personal. I'm Paola Mendez, certified RTT (Rapid Transformational Therapy) hypnotherapist trained by Marisa Peer, and the founder of Mochi Zen. I'm also a Latin American founder. Spanish is the language so many people in my community feel most at home in, and launching Mochi Zen in Spanish was never a translation chore for us. It's the version of the app I always meant to build.
In this post: what's in the Spanish version and how to switch.
Hear RTT-based hypnotherapy in the language you feel in. Every Spanish session is included in the 7-day free trial, no credit card required.

What's Available in Spanish in Mochi Zen in 2026?
Everything you use day to day. The Spanish version isn't a subtitle track or a handful of translated menus. It's the whole experience:
- 40 RTT-based hypnotherapy sessions in Spanish: 12 for weight loss, 11 for anxiety, 4 for insomnia, and 13 for burnout recovery. Same structure, same induction, same awakening as the English sessions.
- The full app: onboarding, the session player, your progress rings, settings, and every screen in between.
- The guided journal: prompts for each program, written in Spanish, not run through a translator.
- Tracking tools: the food, exercise, water, and weight logging screens and the macros calculator.
- Emails: welcome, reminder, and account emails arrive in Spanish when your app is set to Spanish.
- The App Store and Google Play listings, so Spanish speakers can find and understand Mochi Zen before they download it.
- This website: every page and blog post now has a Spanish twin at mochi-zen.com/es.
How Do You Switch Mochi Zen to Spanish?
If your phone is already set to Spanish, Mochi Zen opens in Spanish on its own. If it isn't, it takes about ten seconds:
- Update Mochi Zen to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open Settings and tap Language (Idioma).
- Choose Español.
That's it. The screens switch, and your sessions start playing in Spanish. Your progress, journal entries, and logs stay exactly where they were; nothing resets. You can switch back to English at any time, and each person in your household can pick their own language on their own account.
The price doesn't change either. The free version lets you start each program with an intro RTT session plus the journal, habit tracking, macros calculator, and weight tracker. Full access is a 7-day free trial, then $15 a month or $120 a year, in either language.
Why Does a Spanish Hypnosis App From a Latin American Founder Matter?
Because the gap is real, and it's big. A few numbers that shaped this launch:
- 44.9 million people in the U.S. speak Spanish at home, about 1 in every 7 people age 5 and up, according to 2024 Census Bureau data compiled by USAFacts.
- Only 5.5% of U.S. psychologists said they can provide services in Spanish in a nationwide survey by the American Psychological Association.
- 16.4% of Hispanic adults received mental health treatment in 2024, compared with 22.9% of all U.S. adults, according to SAMHSA data published by the HHS Office of Minority Health.
- The share of U.S. mental health facilities offering treatment in Spanish fell 17.8% between 2014 and 2019, according to a study reported by the American Psychiatric Association.
Put those together and you get tens of millions of people who want help with sleep, anxiety, stress, or their relationship with food, and very few places to get it in the language they think in. That isn't a market statistic to me. It's my community.
Plenty of wellness apps add Spanish years later, or never. Building Mochi Zen as a Latin American founder means Spanish speakers aren't an afterthought or a "phase two." They get the same sessions, the same tools, the same price, and the same care in how every word is chosen.
Why Does Language Matter So Much in Hypnotherapy?
In most apps, language is the interface. In hypnotherapy, language is the treatment.
RTT, developed by world-renowned therapist Marisa Peer, uses hypnosis to reach the subconscious beliefs behind a pattern (overeating at night, a racing mind at 2 a.m., the inability to switch off after work) and then updates those beliefs with new, specific suggestions. The Mayo Clinic describes hypnosis as a changed state of awareness with increased relaxation that allows better focus and concentration. In that focused state, the exact words you hear do the heavy lifting.
That's why, in RTT, we work with a client's own words whenever we can. A suggestion lands when it feels true and familiar. If part of your mind is busy translating "you are safe" into "estás a salvo," that part is staying analytical, which is the opposite of what a session needs. Hearing it directly in the language you grew up with lets the words go straight where they're meant to go.
The research behind hypnotherapy is the same in any language. A meta-reanalysis by Kirsch (1996) found that adding hypnosis to cognitive-behavioral weight loss treatment more than doubled the weight lost at the last assessment (14.88 lbs versus 6.03 lbs), and the gap grew over time. Hear It in Your Language: Try Mochi Zen Free →Who Is Mochi Zen en Español For?
Anyone who'd rather be guided in Spanish. In practice, that tends to mean:
- People who work in English but feel in Spanish. Plenty of bilingual people find that when emotions run high, their inner voice switches to the language they grew up with.
- Bilingual households, where one person listens in English and another in Spanish, each on their own account.
- Parents and grandparents who would benefit from better sleep or less anxiety but would never use an English-only app. Mochi Zen can be given as a gift subscription, and the gift works in either language.
- Spanish speakers across Latin America and beyond, who can now find Mochi Zen in Spanish on the App Store and Google Play.
And for anyone who wants deeper, personalized work, I see private clients 1-on-1 through my practice, Pao Hypnosis, in Miami and remotely worldwide.

Is Mochi Zen available in Spanish?
Yes. Since October 2026, Mochi Zen is fully available in Spanish. That includes all 40 RTT-based hypnotherapy sessions for weight loss, anxiety, insomnia, and burnout, the app screens, the guided journal, tracking tools, emails, and the App Store and Google Play listings. The website also has a complete Spanish version at mochi-zen.com/es.
How do I change the Mochi Zen app to Spanish?
If your phone is set to Spanish, Mochi Zen opens in Spanish automatically. Otherwise, update to the latest version, open Settings, tap Language (Idioma), and choose Español. Your sessions switch to Spanish audio, and your progress, journal entries, and logs stay exactly as they were. You can switch back anytime.
Are all the hypnosis sessions available in Spanish?
Yes. All 40 sessions across the four programs are in Spanish: 12 for weight loss, 11 for anxiety, 4 for insomnia, and 13 for burnout recovery. They follow the same RTT structure as the English sessions. A few short calming exercises are still in English and will switch automatically once they are finished.
Is there a free hypnosis app in Spanish?
Mochi Zen has a free version in Spanish. It lets you start each program with an intro RTT session and use the journal, habit tracking, macros calculator, and weight tracker at no cost. Full access to every session starts with a 7-day free trial, with no credit card required to begin.
Does Mochi Zen cost the same in Spanish?
Yes. The price is identical in both languages: a free version, a 7-day free trial of everything, then $15 per month or $120 per year. One subscription covers both languages, so you can switch between English and Spanish whenever you like without paying extra or losing any of your progress.
Does hypnotherapy work better in your native language?
Many people find it easier to relax into hypnosis in the language they grew up with, because they do not have to translate suggestions in their head. RTT works with a client's own words whenever possible for that reason. Results vary by person, and both language versions use the same RTT method.
What kind of Spanish does Mochi Zen use?
Mochi Zen uses neutral Latin American Spanish, written to sound natural whether you live in Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, the United States, or elsewhere. Sessions use the warm, informal tú and never assume the listener's gender. Founder Paola Mendez reviewed the Spanish scripts to keep the RTT technique intact.
